Making your own schedule can be so liberating. You do not have to be out the door at 8:00 in the morning if you do not want to be. If your child has a function you want to attend you can. Most people will work with your schedule if you explain that you have another commitment. They do not have to know that it is a personal commitment. Unlimited income. This is the beauty of any sales job I suppose. Not being stuck in an office. This is one of the benefits I have always enjoyed. There is nothing like getting outside to do your work, instead of being stuck in an office all day. I truly do believe that it is better for your physical and mental health as well because you are not just sitting at a desk but actually moving around the houses and yards, getting in and out of your car and just plain being physically active. This may not seem like a benefit to you but I am not one to sit still for very long so I really enjoy this part.

The people you meet. Some of my closest friends have been people I have met simply by taking a call and going out and showing them a house. When you work with people showing them homes to buy or selling their present home you really get to know them in depth. You spend quite a bit of time talking and conversing on many subjects. Often your responsibility is in a teaching capacity to help them become educated about the market. You almost cannot help but become genuinely concerned that they make the right decisions. People can sense your sincerity and always appreciate it.

Becoming a Realtor can be a very rewarding and liberating profession. The income possibilities are limitless and investment opportunities are just an additional benefit. Having some control over your time allows you many other opportunities to enjoy your life and enrich your relationships with the people you care about.
