A Common Real Estate Scenario

July 7th, 2010

You get a call from a prospective client that they want to list their property and they want to know what you can do for them.

OK, if you’re incredibly lucky, you are the first and only real estate agent they’ve approached - you go along to the appointment, take down all their details, find out their expectations, discuss advertising, discuss price and what other local properties are selling for, etc. etc. and off you go, hoping you’ve done enough to impress the client and convince them to list with You.

Chances are though, human nature means they’ll want a second opinion, so they’ll call another real estate agent…..

• Were you memorable enough?

• Did you undervalue (in the clients eyes) their property?

• Will they tell Real Estate Agent 2 what you said? (Yes they will)

• Will they adapt their message to make them seem the better option? (Wouldn’t You?)

Now, throw into the mix that either before or during your listing appointment, you could quickly build your prospective client a Free demo of a single property website that:

• has a web address that matches their street address

• can show an unlimited number of their property photos

• showcases their property’s best features

• includes a lengthy property description, maps, video, and so much more,

• the cost of which is a a fraction of what their print and web portal advertising will cost

How likely is it that:

a) They will remember you for this? - Very likely as having your own website has enormous perceived value

b) Any other agent is going to offer them this standard of sevice? - Not very likely unless they are as savvy as you

So you are going to stand out and be remembered whether you are the 1st, 2nd or 5th real estate agent the client has contacted.

This is why a uniques single property website should primarily be seen as a tool for not only selling a property, but just as importantly for the real estate agent, a dynamic tool for securing a property listing in the first place.
